Walt Disney and Roy O. Disney founded the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio on October 16 of 1923; even though, the company was recognized under the name of Walt Disney Studio. Later, they acquire the name of Walt Disney Productions. Nowadays it is known as The Walt Disney Company after they legalized the name in 2007. The Disney brothers started this company with the objective of making cartoon and short films. Their principal entertainment character was Mickey Mouse, and since they were having a lot of success they expanded to the big screen. On 1938 they made their first movie, and since then they have not stopped. As we can imagine, this company generates a lot of money, but it is really fascinating to realize that the revenues they had on 2013 were of $45.041 billions.
